Twice - as in trying to create a drama out of url's out of thin air and then by implying that I'd come running to this thread to defend SBR.

Are you fucking brain dead or what? I've been a member here for almost a year. I was lurking here for a couple of months before that.

I know there are people here who don't like SBR. I understand why they don't but that shit has nothing to do with me.

fwiw, i dont dislike sbr at all and had absolutely no problem with sbrjohn laying down the law on the guys here and there that were abusing the word nigger... but they do some things that look pretty bad at times with the review/rating system...i do, however, know that the ratings on some books have been adjusted undeservingly in the past and although Bet33 may actually deserve a bit of a raise from a D-, you have to factor in who owns the book and his past....also, it isnt hard to go a few years without a payout issue when you dont have dick for customers because everyone who was gambling online back in 2005 knew how bad mcphail fucked over people who had money in Apex and some other little shop he was involved in...im sure gaining new Bet33 customers has been almost impossible.

im sorry that i jumped your case, enigma....i honestly thought you were joking with your comment because if you had any clue about Mcphail and his past, then you probably would probably agree that nothing he is involved in should ever get an upgrade, or free advertising from a sportsbook review (which is what Bet33 got with the sbr article) ...if you feel different about it, so be it...again, i apologize for attacking your comment, but i honestly thought you were someone who knew about the industry and most books involved...perhaps i was wrong and you dont or werent around back then or simply dont remember how bad the Apex scam was. and im also sorry that i didnt provide a link to the sbr article...im sorry but people know me here and i hope trust my judgement, knowledge and comments when it comes to certain parts of the gambling industry. ive been doing this for quite a long time

some people think that maybe 4-5 yrs of no complaints and a token payout of $900 is reason to bump a books rating, i simply dont and think that its hilarious that people are giving sbr praise for getting BigBet paid...(i think thats his posting name) ... i find it hard to believe that Mcphail doesnt still have a list of clients that Apex fucked over... his token outreach to "sbr members" is nothing more than another bullshit scam on his part... he knows who he owes and doesnt need sbr to help him get in contact with sbr members... thats another funny thing about the situation...trying to make himself look good by paying a few sbr members that got fucked...it was 6 years ago...how many members could there have been??? the fuck needs to pay everyone, not just worry about sbr members...jaysus... the guy is a scamming piece of shit and now it looks like he and sbr are working together... no, there hasnt been a rating change, YET! but let them pay a few more posters some chump change and they will get upgraded...

perhaps im reading a bit too much into the situation, but i was around for the Apex fuck job and dont want to see others get stiffed by Bet33 or any other books that Mcphail is involved in and really dont like the idea of sbr promoting him or his book. again, enigma, sorry if i struck a nerve buddy...

I can't believe that you really believe that the banning was about the word nigger.

It wasn't.

It was about certain posters (plommer included) pushing the right buttons and pissing him off enough to take the action that he did.
The fact that those banned were among his least favourite in his forum made it that much sweeter for the old man.

My behaviour over there was consistent since I joined back in 2006, I had run ins with Willie Bee and other mods but they usually just issued an infraction and a nicely worded private message. No one ever banned me until SBRJohn returned to patrolling the forum regularly.

The word nigger is hardly used around here, it is just a word that is given too much power.

using Nigger is what got the ball rolling though...that cant be denied and hate him or not, the guy had a right to get pissed at guys for using it...i was there in the midst of it all and i know thats not the exact reason for all the banings and understand that everyone involved was doing their best to simply push johns buttons and see what he would do...it was hilarious at times from what i recall... and i know it had nothing to do with racism...as did he... who knows, maybe he was in the process of tapping the african posting market..haha
