Big fan here. Has represented Canada several times and was instrumental in an Olympic gold medal in 2002. Among other things, he scored 2 goals in the gold medal game.
Says on wiki he was the first black man to win a gold medal at the winter Olympics. My reaction on reading that: he's black? Oh yeah.
He was also part of the 2010 championship team in Vancouver and the 2004 World Cup winner.
There are few people I could get behind winning a Stanley Cup as much as Iginla.

did not know Iginla was pushed out. And yes he always seemed like a gentlemanly player which I respect. Don't like the notion of players going to contending teams towards end of their career to win a cup. Perhaps thats just the media spin
