It's mostly Price that's back in top form but yeah, everyone's a lot more intense since Julien took over.

Carey Price is just ridiculous when he's on.

I find it really ridiculous that dudeguy who is currently wearing number 66 for the Islanders is catching flak. People are uppity because that was Mario Lemieux's number.

Lemieux never played for the Islanders. And the only number retired by the whole league is 99.

Are we saying that nobody should wear numbers that were once worn by really good players anywhere?

That's just stupid.

I would never wear the 66. The controversy is silly, but at the same time, the number just looks wrong on another NHL jersey.

I'm a bit on stupidity's side here.

According to NHL, you can wear #68 if you are dedicated enough to grow a mullet as well.

Looks like it's going to be a very low total for the Rocket Richard winner. Historically so possibly. Guess I'd have to do some research to see what the (anti-)record is.

Might not even be a 40 goal man this year. I'd wager someone will sneak up to 40 - although maybe not - but anyway - yap - low.

Okay here's the poop:

The lowest total for an actual Rocket Richard Trophy winner (not counting strike/lockout/whatever season) is 41 which was a 3-way tie in 2004.

As far as goal-scoring leaders by season - pre-Rocket Richard Trophy - you have to go back to 1963 for a sub 40. Gordie Howe with 38.
