Gaudreau, I like him. Calgary plays a nice style of drop passes on the breakout, kind of unique, I noticed this a while back. anyway, looks like they went 9-1 and gonna make playoffs : I root for them

Given the experience of my lifetime, it is weird seeing the Leafs be somewhat good, somewhat successful. You expect them to fall off a cliff - and they had a huge lay-an-egg game a couple weeks back against Florida that looked like it might be the start of that - but they have bounced right back and are winning some important games.

These are not the Leafs I know.

But let's see what happens.

We need a Leafs-Habs first round matchup, common. You guys keep winning while we start dropping a few so we can finish 2 & 3 in the division. #lesdoit

Did I just get included in a "you guys" about the Maple Leafs?

I forgot about your Habs fandom - I'm so used to being the enemy here in Ontario.

Plus I have talked about the possibility (probability?) of adopting the Leafs in my declining years - given my admiration for their braintrust - and assuming I remain living in this area - which seems EXTREMELY likely.

I said I was adopting the Habs for this season because of my brother but I am definitely more on top of the Leafs news. So I suck. But what can you do? It's like a solid wall of sound, all the Leafs talk.
