Some good ideas there Mrs. X...thank you...thought of Rockies game...might go the 29th vs.the Dodgers.

I can just hear the conversation now between you and Mr. X

Mrs. X: "Why the hell did you invite Cougar Bait to stay with us, we don't even know him, plus I don't want some stranger jizzing everywhere."
Mr. X: "Well I could talk to Reno, maybe we can get out of it."
Mrs. X: "Now go get my sushi and let's try that hopping off thing."

Hot springs
White water rafting
Some killer restaurants/bars/winery etc

What kind of hot springs, a resort or undeveloped? Clothes or no clothes?

I'm sure rafting would be a blast, lots of options close by. I'm always a little resistant to guided adventures, and I've never managed to become friends with rafters, so I haven't been myself. MrsX and I do talk about doing it sometime.

Killer restaurants and bars aren't really my area.

Thanks for the offer on the rock climbing Mr X, but Cougar is a similar to a cat in many ways. What hair I do have would probably stand straight up.

It'll be good for you. I promise you'll almost certainly survive.

I know nothing about hot springs, either I guess. I would go nekkid but the GF will most certainly not.

Just imagine the complete opposite of me and that's basically my GF.

So basically she's got a lot going for her.

Indian Springs Resort is about a half-hour away in the foothills.

They've got this spring-fed indoor pool that's pretty cool in addition to cave-baths and private baths.

And, it's only 15 minutes away from the casinos of Blackhawk / Central City.

See where MrX launched his illustrious gambling career!

See what happens when casino corporations are in charge of preserving quaint historic mining towns!

I will definitely make it out there, it is in the top 5 of our next out of town vacations. My uncle and his boyfriend live there and have invited us a million times. What is the best time of year to visit?

It depends on what outdoor activities you like. There aren't really any unbearable seasons.
