And that cat story, Oh man.

I mean, this sleep talking thing happens fairly often, so when Mrs.X says "I think there's a strange cat in the bed" in the middle of the night, and you have no cat, and you're sleeping in an RV, you really don't consider the fact that there might actually be a cat in the bed.

So, when you open your eyes, preparing yourself mentally to make fun of Mrs.X, only to see that damn cat, it really throws you for a loop. My initial thought was something like "holy crap, I'm in Mrs.X's head!"

oh I get it now, so there really was a cat. lol the twilight zone

MrX made unsolicited hair complement:

Yes +5000
No -6000

Despite the chalk, I am still leaning towards no. I have learned from bitter experience that the unsolicited compliment is a lose/lose proposition.

If you give one there is a 50% likelihood of it being construed as sarcastic/sexist/wanting something.
On the other half of occasions where it is received as intended, it leads to a situation where the lack of compliment the next time is, apparently, an indication that she looks hideous.

You picked the right side, but your reasoning is off.

MrsX takes all-too-rare unsolicited compliment with the intended love and affection, and graciously forgives the usual lack of awareness on my part. It's a pretty sweet deal.

Mrs. X is also afraid of "what the bedroom is doing to the bedroom". That was a classic.
