 I used to wonder how radical bands like Rage Against The Machine can have so many fans, yet the political climate in the country remain so right wing. It must be that people are isolated from one another. That is, people are aware of political injustice and are opposed to it. However, while being exposed to mainstream media those people are made to feel that they are alone, or in the minority, when in fact they are not. These protests can help break through that isolation.

i was downtown last night with chris, and he had to go to his office to pick something up, he works right off of Wall St. (I mean the literal street, not the profession, though that is kinda what he does too) and it was insane trying to through the people. And this was at 11:30pm on a Wednesday night.

Do you think bands like RATM would be satified if their demands were met? They and their fans are all about rebellion and don't want to be with the masses on any issue.

Gimme a fokken break. The left-wing "injustice" movement is just as short-sighted and narcissistic as the "elite", the "corporate greed" and whatever label you wanna put on the wealthier classes.

Fokken disengaged hippies with zero marketable skills want a share of the pie that is not theirs in any way, in most cases. Fok these loons.

Everyone is a fucking self-centered asshole, left, right, rich, poor.

Kill the criminal bankers.

you proving my point there pal. Everybody's not an asshole, even though we are encouraged to believe this.
Oh, and fok "marketable skills". People are not business commodities.

Really? Even in a communist society, everyone is expected to provide value.

All you wanna do is sit around and listen to Bob Marley? Knock yourself out pal, here's $500 a month and a health card. See you around.

I provide no fucking value, I'm a gambler. The richest people, speculators, bankers provide no fucking value. It's the people who actually do provide some value that are losing their incomes, houses that are protesting.
