OK we'll try again. No idea what the rules are anymore.

It is Leisure's turn up, but assuming he won't be around, it falls on Herman.

Heard lots of suggestions today. Whatever you guys wanna run with, I'm fine with it. I liked it the way it was, but that obviously wasn't working, so....
 
I nominate herman and MF to become PERMANENT members of the GPLOATDD pick board of directors

that means that all of their picks get automatic high-priority consideration, and they are also not bound by the best bet thread requirements. they no longer have to make a minimum number of picks in the BB thread, and they no longer have to have a top record in the thread either

Anybody who has had a pixy stick can attest to the story about to be unveiled. Alright let me take you back to elementary school. Maybe fifth grade, maybe fourth somewhere in that time frame. I was an active young kid to say the least, who wasnt. Im going trick or treating and God knows what my mother let me wear. So Im out running around with my friends and one of them gets what looks like a stick of power. I ask him what he got. He tells me has gotten the infamous Pixy Stick. My first reaction is Pixies. The little fairies. And he says to me not Pixies, Pixy. Kind of like Pixy Dust. Ah, ha. So he tears open the top tells us to open our mouths. He pours a little in and says what do you think? Give it about five seconds and you feel like a Pixy has just slapped you in the face with Pixy Dust. You are flying around the town at the speed of light. This was the most amazing thing I had ever tried. There we were, all of my friends thinking we were flying like little Pixy Fairies. When I get home my mom looks at my eyes rolling around in my head ike a Disney cartoon character and asks what I had. Nothing I said. Didnt fool mom. From there on out she inspected the candy I had gotten that night. Probly a good thing.

I got mine from somewhere else but nevertheless the same!
 
My suggestions for the future:

1) If the picker makes a winning pick, he stays as the picker until he makes a losing pick (or a push?).
2) The next in line is allocated/decided the day before and should acknowledge that he/she is aware of this.
3) The picker need only put up one play. Who are we mere mortals to question/debate?

So to use today as an example.

Herman is up.
Tomorrow will be Herman or, in case of a losing pick, mmike032.

mmike032 should check in and confirm that he is ready to step up to the plate, if needed.
 
Hmmmm, I kinda like Dunder's plan, too. I'm cool with whatever the concensus is. If we were to go to Dunder's format, we could even open up the picker's pool to anybody with positive units in the Best Bet thread. Once a GLPOTD play loses or pushes, the next person in positive units to declare himself ready to pick gets to be "it." That takes the element of a rotation out of it, which seemed to be where we stumbled most. We kinda just have to be happy with whoever's around, posting, and paying attention.

Pally + Hides + A + Deep + Desire = If by chance you ever shower with Pally, don't even think about picking up the soap! I gonna tell my Chinese friends to put it in a fortune cookie! Maybe they will slip me a free egg roll in the order!:thumbup:
