First off, good luck. I hope everything comes back clean.

If things go according to plan, then expect a rather uneventful time in the hospital. Caths are pretty routine now but not without risks of course. Expect not to eat or drink after midnight the night before, getting an IV started, going to sleep and then waking up to hear the results. The worst part will likely be after it's over and the nurses have to manually hold pressure on your groin while taking out the sheath the doctor uses to perform the cath. It usually takes 15-30 minutes of manual pressure and can be quite uncomfortable. Hopefully they can spare some morphine for that part.

Good luck Durito! Let me know the results.

Everyone says hope it comes back clean. Not me. I want them to find and fix something so i stop getting out of breath going up a flight of stairs.

That groin part doesnt sound like fun. The nurses are hot at this hospital though.

Muse

Had a 102.7 fever last night. I had to change when I woke up this morning because my clothes were soaked in sweat.

I have a really bad sore throat. 9 on the 10 scale of sore throats (especially the right side) and the right side of my neck hurts.

Give me a diagnosis, brother.

We have a 3:00 doctors appt.

Well, fever + throat pain typically think strep throat or mono first. Those would be my two guesses. Has anyone else around you been sick recently? The neck pain could be something more or nothing related at all. That will be for your doc to investigate.

Wally Ive provided step by step instructions to making hundreds of thousands of dollars, just because you are too stupid to understand them doesnt mean other people arent.

Unless you post winners before the games start you don't get street cred her. You sound like the guy who sells stock advice. Look at me..if you follow my advice of buying low and sell high you will make money in the stock market. I have figured it all out. Yuppy!!

So I'm guessing you were deliriously not in a right state of mind when giving out the brew crew play! All makes sense now!

The last thing I want is street cred from of a bunch of 99%er degenerates. Everyone that helps make my business run Ive met through these forums. Smart people get it.

Sorry Boner, no insurance. I would never put a bulls eye on my back like that :) No savings, no 401unks or inheritances, I'm pretty much an attorneys worst nightmare. I'd be useless to sue.

As for the Gerd and dull pain throughout your arm, you should really go see a doctor about that as soon as you can.

Judgement proof. Good work. I am the same, what is someone gonna do take my 200k debt?

I will think about going to the doc.. but just like you I have no insurance...

 Not even sure if you were being serious about the gerd and left arm pain but if so, get checked out sooner than later. If you want, fly into OKC and i'll get you setup for very cheap. Heart scan to check for calcium levels (which plaque are generally made of) for $50, I can do you treadmill stress test for free and then get you an echocardiogram, test for abdominal aortic aneurysm, and blood tests that tell how likely you are to have a stroke or heart attack in the next 6 months for 149  So affordability is out there. Being an attorney I'd think you'd have insurance however.

If you're being serious about the gerd and left arm pain. I often hear people describe heart related pain as gerd and of course left arm pain with gerd is worrisome. Other things to consider are family history, age, diet and activity, are your parents alive? If not, why? Do you get short of breat easily. Do you smoke? Are you diabetic? Height/Weight etc... Either way I can list 100 free clinics in the NYC area or you can give me a date, fly here and I'll get you taken care of. But get seen.

you obviously havent been listening to enough Duran Duran...duh! those sweet sounds cure all , daffy :crazylikethewolf:

muse...dragging ass on this med school shit arent ya pal? but def. get some more education...at least become an NP or something...nice 20k or more bump in pay would be nice

RayRay, certainly dragging my ass. Over 30 and still considering med school. Pretty ridiculous and likely far fetched. I've considered NP but think I'd like the PA schooling better. All things said though after schooling and in reality NP=PA with very few differences. NP's have one option available to them that PA's dont and that is to go and start their own clinic without the direct supervision of a doctor, because NP's are regulated by the board of nursing and not the board of medicine. But very, very few do this. For what it's worth, I've spoken to many doctors about the issue all of whom think I should just bypass either school and do med school, but most doctors like PA's more, not surprisingly. They say NP's are weak in science and general assessment. I kinda agree.
