My whole point Cali is the extent of our conversation was in the context of what do I do with my free time ..."I bet on sports"
I am not certain that that constitutes an evalutation worthy of a diagnosis. I don't even know if it was a diagnosis...it's just there on a chart.

2. This is not a gambling forum. I consider Peeps a gambling Forum even RX and EOG. I do not consider this a gambling forum. I consider it a forum with gamblers that periodically talk about sports.

3. Apparently Chis is your addiction. It has been determined that he is not healthy for you. When you stop going back to him, I will consider your suggestion.

I think you missed the entire point to my post.

If a doctor put "addictive gambling" on your record simply because you said that you bet on sports in your free time, without any evaluation of the impact gambling was having on your life, that is some pretty irresponsible doctoring.

the doctor probably also noticed her checking scores the entire time she was there and the parlay sheets that fell out of her purse when she tried to make her co-pay

Agreed. Now I'm not saying that it may not be a correct assessment, and I'm not saying that is it. My point was it would seem there would be some further exploration before being labeled.

Then again, if that's the first thing you mention when you're asked about your pastimes, :dunno:.

That should have lead to concern and further discussion. It seems pretty irresponsible to throw an addiction into someone's medical record based on that exchange. Or maybe he's just that good. IAG, do you have a gambling addiction?

Is there some sort of test I can take? If I had a gambling addiction I think my drug of choice would be Roulette. There is a casino 20 min from here and I have been there maybe 4-5 times in 2 years. There is a keno/video poker bar on every corner. I hace never been in one of those. I don't buy scratch tickets and I very rarely buy a lotto ticket.

IN sports to I like action? yes. Am I an action junkie? yes. But only when I am actively betting which is 1-2 days per week now. oh and Maybe MNF...and TNF....and college fb on Fridays.
