So you're seeing a shrink?

You do realize we have a number of sudo-councelors available free of charge right here, don't you? Course I must warn you if Plommer tells you to lie back down, close you eyes and relax, there's a good chance he's looking up your skirt.

I'm a sexpert. I vote Matty as the addiction counselor. Bread for the hard love slap in the face advice. Kato for pat on the back therapy and maybe some fang shui (spelling? not racist). Perhaps Nina for consoling and cajoling type of "therapy." Let's have muddy help with some music therapy, the dude plays like 10 instruments (I may be exaggerating). And if you ever need to relapse the rest are here with that big blow up trampoline for people who jump out of windows... They will catch you when you fall and guide you down our addictive paths.

Is anyone here NOT addicted to something?

This why we lie to our doctors, IAG. I never tell my doctors about my addictions.
I know and I have done that plenty of times. Oh it also says "history of narcotic addiction" on there now too."

It's a long story with the therapist and my primary, and a huge mess but at one point I did disclose the gambling more in an off the cuff.(here's another issue with controlling compulsive behavior kind of way) but didn't think they would make that leap. We didn't even get into it that deeply. I was afraid it would come out down the line somewhere, with a therapist perhaps, but my primary doctor who has only seen me for a UTI a month of so ago? I was totally caught off guard. I usually can remain composed and lie thru my teeth if necessary (although I tend to hate liars in general, there are valid reasons I must lie now.) Anyway. I guess I assumed it was back their in my chart/notes/record or something somewhere, but to see it staring back at me all of the sudden on line...little startling.

oh. She added "history of narcotic addiction" also. Nice.

Isn't that private between you and your doctors?

No. I've got a note on my file too (not about gambling). Whenever I go to the hospital I'm classified as one of those people.

I don't condone lying to doctors since they're there to help you but had I known about this I would've lied. Some doctors are very condescending.

When it comes to testing/treating STI's (STD's) I never see my family doctor, I make sure to go to the Hassle Free Clinic.

it's anonymous.

The last thing I want on my medical history file is that I received a Penicillin shot to treat a case of syphilis contracted from the multiple blowjobs performed on me by a schizophrenic mental patient residing in the local asylum.

Is it ironic that a crazy broad that cannot function in society can still perform fellatio like a sane person?

I want to know what one of THOSE people is so I know if should lie about it.
I might be one of "those" people also.?
Rogue yeah. I don't know if insurance has access but I'm sure they do.

If I was addicted to crack would you tell me to revisit the crack den?

I get that gambling is not crack, duh, but it's logical,if you have an addiction that you a
Want to or need to quit, you should probably find other hobbies.

Speaking as someone with addictions (not gambling)

If you are upset by your doctors diagnosis, then change the diagnosis.
