A cheque you say eh coolie? Do you look forward to the day when the USA discovers and then implements "direct deposit" for sending funds?

Checks, JFC, next thing you're gonna tell us is that the country that leads the free world has just discovered the metric system.

America = is it still 1976?

About 40 million people got direct deposit in the US

Just breaking balls pal. I was getting direct deposit from my employer as far back as 1988. Haven't written or received a cheque in decades as technology here is adopted quicker by the masses due to the smaller population. Only people much older than me seem to still visit a teller at a bank etc.
I can and do everything from my desktop or android phone.

was listening to congress grilling the "experts" from the task force. Really nothing worthwhile. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. The congress is useless. I guess they're all focused on this nebulous concept of contact tracing or blaming . Somehow they want to test millions of people a day and tracing contacts. No discussion of a viable approach as far as I can tell. Still no real debate of pros/cons/trade offs.

actually since the bank is closed inside, I'll probably try going to one of those stupid drive through machines, where you put stuff into a capsule that gets sucked up in there somehow. :mudcat: maybe better to use the atm :dunno: don't think I ever deposited a check that way before though
that ended up pretty annoying. My pin got changed somehow and I couldn't use the atm. So I ended up sitting in a line of cars for a half an hour. Which seems weird to me, since the bank was mostly empty when it was open. Was regretting not listening to Plommer, until I realized, wtf do I got to rush for anyway.:dunno:

 I knew I always liked Milwaukee. None of this shit can be legal.
Meanwhile Trump correctly characterizes Faucis response to question regarding opening economy, as unacceptable, and a result of him wanting to play both sides of the equation.

The dream of every parent is to send their kid to online university. Value of my education experience, especially at University has to be 90pct social interaction. I can't imagine the kind of unhumam dolts these modern education methods are supposed to turn out.

I have first hand knowledge of what a train wreck online (distance) learning has been for middle school students.

JL is doing online kindergarten ( :biglaugh: ) and he has to meet with his teacher and half his class three times a week.

Imagine trying to get a bunch of 5-6yo to behave during a Zoom call, on top of having to teach them how to mute and unmute themselves.

Plus the teacher is obviously in a remote area with shit Internet so her stream constantly freezes.

:facepalm
