He might have one punch power in the UFC but he's not going to land anything meaningful on Mayweather.

And even though Mayweather has zero KO power at 154, I predict he will stop McGregor somewhere in the second half of the fight. Not a one-punch KO but an accumulation of punches that'll make McGregor stay on his stool between rounds.

This is a stupid exhibition fight and I look forward to watching an illegal stream of it.

I too look forward to watching it. We will likely buy it as a group.

I am taking Mayweather for a signature play. I don't usually like to go with favorites that big for SigPlays, but I see huge, enormous, massive, gigantic value at -730.

First line I heard was -1200 and I thought that was the deal of a lifetime.

Just logged into my Pinnacle account for the first time since forever. I have 43 cents in there.

I could probably free up 5 grand for this but the Deposit/Withdrawal stuff looks a bit choppy. I kinda recall Instadebit but I don't see any account info in my old files.

Plain old Visa is there. Could do that. But then I see daily/monthly maximums. 3x rollover for no-fee withdrawal?

I ain't rolling over no 5 grand no 3 times. So a line of -666 becomes -833. Which is still a great line IMO but :fok:

How Conor McGregor should fight Floyd Mayweather

Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries has trained UFC fighters, witnessed Conor McGregor in training and, in an exclusive interview, shares his expert analysis of the Mayweather fight with John Dennen

FEW people are better qualified than Tony Jeffries to comment on the prospect of UFC star Conor McGregor crossing codes to box Floyd Mayweather.

Jeffries is an Olympic boxing bronze medallist, he has trained MMA fighters and has seen McGregor working out in his Box N Burn gym in Los Angeles. Conor McGregor comes in every time hes in LA. He trains with us regularly. He boxes, Tony tells Boxing News. Hes a really good guy, he talks to everyone.

He was hitting the heavy bag and I stood and I was waiting for the round to end and the round ended but he kept going and he kept going. I was there for 15 minutes. And I thought, Im not even going to wait. His workrates non-stop. This guy doesnt stop working.

Jeffries has also watched him sparring Chris Van Heerden. He did alright against him. He did alright. His boxing was good. I was surprised I thought he was going to be terrible because most MMA fighters, they cant box when it comes to actual boxing, because theyve got to concentrate on the kicks, the takedowns, the rest of it, jujitsu. He looks like a professional boxer. I was watching him spar with Chris, I thought he was a decent boxer. I think he could do alright as a pro, Tony said. If he started as a professional boxer and went through the ranks, I think he would do alright. Going against Mayweather in your first fight, thats you know, good luck with that.

I mean, I doubt the oddsmakers are off by that much. I suppose the line is often shaded to underpay the side the public overvalues, but that should work against the Maywether bettors I would think. Either way, the line is telling me the guy has more of a chance than you guys make it sound.

Reno I'll book your action on McGregor. Come at me bro. :bringit:

Average MMA fan has not been paying much attention to boxing over their lifetime and they think Mayweather is overrated because he has a boring defense-first style.

Average MMA fan is dum dum.

 all I'm saying is that the linemakers aren't setting a 7-1 line (on some major event) that should be 50-1, regardless of public perception. It's not a parimutual pool, and there's enough pros to bury lines that are way off.
