Don't know the history there, but his posts seem a little psychotic in nature. Does he have a history of mental illness? I just scanned them, but a bit manic?

That struck me as well. Massive psychosis. Sad end to a short, brilliant career. Was always a fan of Debian.

I have been hearing a lot of talk today about his place in fashion and movies - people keep wanting to go there.

To me, the guy was mainly just amazingly good at music. At composing. The guy did not just recycle. The guy had ideas.
