CaliGirlNJ's Thank You Speech - VIDEO

all that business lingo blows my mind Cali

S'my world too. You would gag at the amount of buzzwords that get thrown around daily.

I just came back from a 2-hour employee engagement survey post-mortem meeting/luncheon. I basically sat there and ate a sandwich.

Said sandwich was brought in by a caterer named, I shit you not, Corporate Cravings.

I work for a large non-profit performing arts organization - I'm a mid-level manager in the Marketing and Sales Department.

A little more detail: my job is a hybrid position between the sales and marketing departments. I focus on targeting, marketing and selling to specific target market groups for our individual productions. I work with advertising, grassroots marketing, mail campaigns, telesales campaigns, and a lot of new and social media marketing. I head a small staff that assists in the production of our campaigns. I report to both the director of marketing and the director of sales.

thoughts?

I used to do something similar with a performing arts organization in Michigan a few years back. Our director moved to Jersey. You don't happen to know William (Bill) Biddle, do you?

Damn, that guy moves around. He's pretty brilliant though and paid very well for it. He was able to reform the program and bring much better talent to the center.

I wish I still worked in the arts. I miss it.
