MIRAMICHI, N.B.Two New Brunswick men have been arrested after allegedly going through a McDonalds drive-thru on a couch.

Miramichi police say an officer spotted the couch, being towed behind an ATV, at 3:19 a.m. Thursday in the drive-thru.

Cpl. Lorri McEachern says the driver of the four wheeler took off after the officer turned on the lights atop his cruiser, stranding the two intoxicated men outside the restaurant.

She says the driver raced through the parking lot, across the highway and onto the frozen Miramichi River, still towing the couch through much of his escape.

Two local men, aged 28 and 39, will face yet-to-be-determined charges.

McEachern says it is illegal to tow a couch through a drive-thru, but the two men were wearing helmets.

Apparently there is a limit to how much porn you should own.

But how much is too much raunch? Well, if your collection of filthy mags weighs enough to kill you, its probably too much.

A 50-year-old Japanese man was killed when the six tons thats 12,000 pounds! of porn magazines he owned fell on top of him, according to the U.K. Mirror.

The body of the dead man, a former car-maker who was identified only as Joji, was found six months later when the landlord went to his apartment to collect unpaid rent.

A member of the team sent to clean the flat revealed the man died under the magazines. It is unclear if he had a heart attack and fell into the massive stack of mags, which toppled onto him, or if he was crushed by the sheer volume of porn.

The cleaner also said the apartment was piled high with porn magazines, with many stacked on tables and shelves. There were also clipping from other magazines that had been discarded, likely as he attempted to pare down his collection.
 
My grade school friend's dad had enough porn to crush him, for sure. Huge garage had two rows of boxes all around the perimeter, stacked to the ceiling, filled with porn magazines. And that was just the deep storage. The good stuff was in the house. A truly staggering amount of porn. Lucky we weren't all killed, looking back.

Triggers a memory for me. Tell me what you think of this.

Okay so I was a teen and I had my own little stash of porn mags circa 1980 ???

One time I threw some out in the garbage. Nothing hoardish about me. I guess you had to keep the quantities modest in your bedroom in your parents house so I stuck about 5 in a garbage bag along with whatever other garbage and set it by the curb on the appropriate day.

Fine.

So that evening there is a knock at our door. It is a woman I didn't know - asking for my parents. My parents were away traveling somewhere so no luck there.

Anyway, she proceeds to tell me why she has come. Apparently one of her kids ended up with the porno mags. And I guess he got caught and spilled the beans where he got them - i.e. from our garbage. I guess he somehow spotted them within the garbage bag? Sharp porn radar? I dunno, maybe an animal had ripped the bag and exposed them?

The key detail here for me is the woman's attitude. She was angry. At our household. For making porn available to her kid.

And she gave me back the dirty (literally and figuratively) mags. I was just kinda stunned and didn't say much about anything. But I think about it once in awhile.



Is it just me or was she being some kind of turbo-twat?
 
And what kind of loser is that kid? He couldn't keep a porno mag hidden for one damn day?

When I was a kid I found a dirty magazine in a gas station bathroom at the beginning of a family car vacation. That's a challenging hiding situation for a kid. I kept that thing hidden for years.
 
Like if she was anti-porn - which I guess she was - shouldn't she be glad that porn was being disposed of? Isn't her issue with her garbage-picking, sniveling, pathetic-excuse-for-a-1980-kid?

I can't decide which of the two was the turbo-twat.
