Increased numbers of diagnoses are due to advances in detection and understanding of the disorder.

Many mental health issues go undiagnosed. People being properly diagnosed so that they can seek out appropriate treatments and care plans is a good thing.

He doesn't prove this ideology is wrong. He starts comparing old studies to current ones, but that doesn't disprove that the studies of today are more advanced.

Don't get me wrong, I do believe there has been a rise in autism. I should have been more clear in my initial post and said due "in part to". Diabetes and obesity have been steadily on the rise, and these factors in mothers can contribute to autism.

Per usual, the truth lies in the middle. I agree with RFK that health and healthy foods should be much larger areas of focus in the US. I disagree with completely disregarding scientific advancements to oversell an "epidemic", and with other things he dangerously veers away from scientific consensus on.

But alas, we've reached a point in time when science is no longer trusted. And with idiots like Fauci given center stage, can't blame anyone. It is what it is.
