Show might have finally jumped the shark last night.

As if Gus would really have thought up a plot so unlikely to play out as he wanted with that whole poison the kid and Jessie will blame Mr White thing. And then like I said, as if somebody can show up with a ricin poisoning in an American hospital today and it wouldn't turn into a national investigation. And then Gus with his psychic powers.

I just watched the last episode. I may not be in the right frame of mind but it seemed very weak. From Walt turning into MacGyver/crappy-Jack-Bauer to Gus's spidey sense (it would've been reasonable of him to inspect his car before leaving, since it was left unattended for a bit and Mike is usually there to watch over him... but no, they went overboard with Gus walking around as if he were a vampire sniffing blood from a mile away) to Jesse assuming that Walt poisoned the kid (right after Gus told him there would be an "appropriate response" to his actions), ugh. They be dragging it out.

2 Matty Rains for S04E12

Just plain bad. These stellar actors deserve a way better script.

OK I totally agree on the ricin deal. I figured that was why he told the mom then bolted, never to have contact with her again which make him an even MORE angry and tortured soul. Which we're all about of course.

But no, he was back at the hospital...wtf????

But the Gus/car deal made perfect sense to us. How did Gus know about the ricin cigarette? He knew the entire time. Why? Because he has all of their houses completely tapped. The fact that they realized that Gus always knew about the ricin, then they sit there in the same house and start planning car bombs...I was like...these dummies!

He was just looking over the edge of the parking garage to completely fuck with Walt. He knew he was out there. He gets off on fucking with Walt at this point.

No car bomb for you!

Ok. I can get with you on the car bomb thing. I've actually wondered about this often. Why don't they assume their houses are bugged?? Of course they would be. But they act like once they're inside the sanctum of one another's home then everything they say is safe. With all that frigging money I would have hired somebody to come in once a week and sweep my house for bugs.

The ricin thing was stupid. I mean, I'm glad somebody finally got ricined up in this bitch, but for him to tell the mom like that and then come back to the hospital....

I thought he would be smart and call it in anonymously. But no... and when he comes back to the hospital the nurse is calling him by his name and shit. lol. "The family doesn't want you in there Mr. Pinkman because you poisoned that child with ricin Mr Pinkman."

It's never revealed what exactly happened to the kid. Jesse is the only person who mentions/assumes poisoning. The family and hospital staff never say a word about the boy's illness.

And if it's poisoning, the kid could've done it to himself after going through Jesse's pockets or some shit.

Red herring and all that.

I don't wanna get too nerdy about this, but if someone was poisoned with ricin you can be damn sure there would be people trying to find out how it happened. I can assure you they wouldn't just say "ehhh, maybe he found it somebody's pocket. Who knows??"

They wouldn't have quite your laissez faire attitude about.

Matt, maybe I'm not being clear enough.

If someone walked into an American hospital and said they suspect their child is a victim of risin poisoning, the very first thing the hospital will do is call the police. The first thing the police will do is contact the FBI. The FBI will contact the CDC.

Within a couple hours there would have been a national manhunt for Jessie Pinkman, suspected crytsal meth manufacturer and potential terrorist.
