I'm not sure how the Casascius coin is legal then. And that may explain why eBay/Paypal won't people pay for them with Paypal.

The most vocal and active people with this are kids with no experience. It's ridiculous dealing with these people. The site blitty mentioned yesterday bitfloor.com (https://bitfloor.com) nothing but bootstrap and a database, and it's a "service" I'm supposed to send money to. Take a look at their money processor (http://localtill.com). This is like a bunch of sslp and againstallodds behind it all. No one that have dealt with offshore gambling for so long and have dealt with all the crooks should fall for this one.

My exchange seems solid - cavirtex.com. Liquidity is low, but more than sufficient for my small-time needs.

BTC needs a lot more established exchanges. Mt. Gox's near-monopoly is no good.

Matty, gotta love human resiliance.

Todays events kinda reminded me of the crash of 08.

On paper the US was totally bankrupt, yet peoples belief in the system ensured things were kept as business as usual.

We are seeing same mentality of resilience here.
