The mister spends $50 per session and he goes at least four times during the week.
I don't judge.

Fuck me. I just did a recon drive of my planned bike route, and there's this Cabot Head Lighthouse that's sort of on the way. 40km detour and 8kms of gravel to reach it though, and I brought my Kona w/ 23mm slicks. 🤔

I think I'm going to try it and turn around if it gets too shitty.

Still going to the end of the peninsula (Tobermory) no matter what.

Tentative new route... would be my second imperial century in 8 days:

so many rod botrells here. I aim to get 50%tile all time. that is a huge win for me with my old un tuned up fixie. I see these groups of spandex super bikes passing me and I know , no amount of fitness would ever make up for that. had a few decent segments where I lucked out on pedestrians and divvy bikes staying out of way . one segment about top 20% all time.

Yeah no, things get crazy competitive in big cities. My best result in Toronto so far is about 88th percentile.

i just got 15th of all time (out of 144) , 3rd in my weight category (out of 23) and 2nd fastest of 2021 (out of 32) on a dual 12-14% grade climb here. The KOM belongs to an Internet-famous McGill professor who weighs 115lbs (!) He's one of the top KOM holders on Strava and he travels the world to destroy segments all over. His climbing ability is ridiculous. Fokking weightless prick.
