I have two handles on post review now. Bumping old Crazylou threads is apparently not allowed anymore. Or maybe they've banned all IP's coming out of Colombia.

I guess I will post from the USA. See if willie can figure that one out.

That all sucks Dave. It is reminiscent of my experience working with SBR. Your situation is certainly more galling since you actually made such a tangible commitment to them. But just the general lack of focus and communication.

That was my big thing - the poor communication. It was a brand new forum and I was a brand new mod and I just wanted some basic information about what the vision was. I would start threads in the mod forum practically begging for any kind of guidelines. What are our standards for racism? Language? General idiots? Are we looking for a more mature, business-like forum than Covers or anything goes?

The answer was always some vague version of, "You are doing great."

So I did the only thing I could do. Start guessing. Before the forum, SBR was considered to have some integrity and class - so I thought I'd moderate the forum in that direction. But then lo and behold, there would be John out on the forum second-guessing my moves. Sometimes it felt like back-stabbing. So I'd go back to the mod forum saying, "Okay so I think I got some hint of our vision from that. Can you expand on that in plain words?"

Bill would chime in with a, "You are doing great." John might or might not reply at all. He was not much better at replying to PM's.

There was more to it than just that but in a nutshell, it was just too stupid. I run a business and I'm not accepting of being a doormat. I quit.

Sorry, don't mean to make this thread about me but you brought back some memories.

I was told that since I'd only worked 7 months, I hadn't paid them back their $3,000 in full yet. So on top of not offering me any severance, they also deducted the $1250 I still owed them out of my last paycheck. As if the whole fired without warning after moving 1500 miles thing wasn't a "fuck you" enough, haha.

Wow that is just ridiculous and just so so wrong. What a bunch of assholes at SBR. Dave I admire your restraint. I am not a big fan of lawsuits, but if this happened to me, that would not of been the last they heard from me.

Just looking for a job/trying to figure my life out. Moved back here to LA in December, and spent most of December getting unpacked/settled in and meeting up with friends and doing holiday shit with the family. January continued the hanging out with friends theme, started passively looking for a job since I'm settled in. Now I've been home long enough that I'm starting to get anxious and hit the job market a little harder. I'm enjoying being around my friends and girlfriend again though!
