Well there is a TV show and a movie. If you mean the TV show, 4 (out of 10).

The movie however is a 4.

I actually did watch quite a few episodes of the TV show. Multiple seasons probably. I didn't dislike it straight away. Or maybe just the fact it was about sex held my attention a bit.

It grated on me more and more as time went on and then one day I realized, "Wait, every single character on this show is annoying. Not just the main characters but absolutely everyone. What is going on here?"

It was my Sex and the City epiphany.

I saw the movie on a date with a chick who was a big fan. So that is my excuse there.

I did not see Sex and the City 2.

I sort of climbed a corporate ladder once. My second permanent job, I went from being an entry level Receiver - through a series of steps - to being the Distribution Manager in charge of 24 people and a $million + budget. I was reporting to the Vice President. I think that qualifies as ladder-climbing

But I am not well suited to that stuff. I don't like the supervising part of it. A few jobs later I was offered a managerial position but I turned it down along with a good raise for that reason.

Unless I could find some fantasy place that moves you up the ladder strictly for your good thinking and work habits, with no supervisory stuff involved, it may never work out.

How cool is Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu?

Had to google him. Seems like a bit of research would be required to really come up with an informed opinion. Lots going on with that guy.

But let's not over-complicate it. Pretty cool, I'll say.

Oh, almost forgot.

Muddy while at the water cooler this morning did you regret not having watched the football game lastnight and having an opportunity to bond with other non-gay men?

I kind of regret that I don't have people around to talk sports with. Not that I want to watch a lot of sports but I kind of like to gab about it sometimes.

But the guys that I see in the lunchroom . . . I dunno. Not on the same page. For one thing they are far more CFL oriented. I am NFL. So that is a big disconnect as relates to this question.

LOL I find water cooler sports talk to be about the gayest thing I can think of, Wal.

Grown men talking about who-gives-a-shit as a form of some gaywad male rite of passage bullshit.

Pass.

Try it with absolute strangers once. It's amazing. Sitting in a sportsbook for a bit and some random comes up to you and starts talking about Lebron James or the quarterback situation for the New York Jets. Even better that it's usually some drunk homeless dude instead of a smoking hot brunette with huge tits.

Pretty awesome.

I know you're jealous.

Good God.

I hear this conversation everyday in my hallways.

"See that game last night? Man so and so looking TIGHT!"

"Yeah but they're gonna need some help for him this year. He can't do it alone."

"I feel ya."

Puke.

I prefer Kraft singles

What are you, 5 years old? That's not cheese you maroon.

If I were seeking your approval this would offend me. Fortunately I'm not and I like what I like regardless of what others think. I also don't like cheddar in my omelet, there again I want Kraft singles.

Classless hick :greencheck:

1 - Band/artist that got you interested in music

This is definitely Gordon Lightfoot. He was the favorite of my grade 6 teacher who got me started playing guitar, and he became the soundtrack of my life. I can't listen to my Gord's Gold CD without misting up a few times, partly due to the beauty of the songs, but also due to memories of that happy innocent time.

2 - The 20+ old albums that are in heavy rotation at your house?

Very limited by the small size of my current collection - I never switched over from vinyl in a complete way - but here goes:

Talking Heads - Remain in Light
Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Pink Floyd - Animals
Pink Floyd - Meddle

Gordon Lightfoot - Gord's Gold

Genesis - Selling England By The Pound
Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

Neil Young - Rust Never Sleeps
Neil Young - Harvest

Beatles - Revolver
Beatles - White Album
Beatles - Sargent Pepper

Steely Dan - The Royal Scam
Steely Dan - Gaucho

Crowded House - Greatest Hits (?)

Gilbert and Sullivan - HMS Pinafore

Brian Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)

Brian Eno and John Cale - Wrong Way Up

The Smiths - How Soon is Now?

3 - Most underrated band/artist pre-1990

I guess maybe Brian Eno? He is not talked about a ton, at least compared to some of the other names above, but his Taking Tiger Mountain album would be in my top 5 all-time. Brilliant lyricist for my money. The Wrong Way Up album with John Cale, also great. He also contributed to some of the great Talking Heads stuff and David Bowie too, I believe (?)

He has done other stuff I am less gaga over though. I feel like if we had a full discussion going, people would toss out some names that would make me say, YES.

4 - A new band/artist that you recommend now?

"New" feels like a loaded word to me. I'm not sure if I listen to anything really really new. I could probably have people laughing pretty hard at me, the stuff that feels new to me. Examples of most highly recommended acts that are currently producing new music are Muse, Cracker, Supergrass, TV on the Radio (some), Foo Fighters.

But I know those have all been around quite awhile.

I feel like I need Radiohead somewhere in this overall response. They are in the twilight zone. The OK Computer and The Bends albums are always in my rotation but they seem neither new nor old.

But as for someone really new, I honestly got nothing. Howzabout Psy!
