Thanks Dafty for the Belgian beer suggestion!

Just wondering questioning Herman there with regards to the best bet has anything to do with drinking too much non-fruity wine and not balancing it enough with some beer? :dunno:

Let's move the date to July. I would never hit on Robyn but I sure like looking at her.

Robyn, my reasons for not liking Daft are pretty lame by most standards. He reminds me of so many guys I know personally who just seem to really think very highly of themselves. I don't mean people shouldn't like themselves or anything but certain people have a more than normal admiration for who they are. Daft may very well be a normal enough person and may in fact be a really nice guy.

I get the impression that Daft is also a womanizer, the kind that thinks he is doing the woman a favor. Here again I could be wrong but he tends to give the same vibe as many I know.

I am being a judgmental asshole and this does bother me but I can't help the impressions I get from Daft.

I realize my posting styles annoys some people and Daft certainly annoys the piss out of me. His titles to threads are so toutish, his take on games are so rah rah rah, follow me boys and he builds things up like the second coming. He wins alot of the time but the whole approach just strikes a nerve.

Also Daft tends to come across as better than me. While he is obviously an attractive individual and obviously fit, he has a great career (provided he isn't really a mall cop) he probably has plenty of success (at least initially) with a bevy of beautiful women I still don't appreciate being talked down to.

As you can see everything I think about Daft is pure speculation from his postings here and may be so far from the truth it's not even funny but I would lay odds I'm a wee bit more right than wrong.

I would still meet the guy and allow an in person vibe a chance to develop.

I think you just need to meet Daft in person. I can't speak for him, but he knows that some of you think that way about him, so instead of getting pissy and breaking his keyboard (lol), he rolls with it. I want a picture of you two hugging when you meet. I'll pay $22.50 for it.

I'll admit I was more open to meeting Bread than I am Daft. Bread and I couldn't be two more different types of people but I was able to have an open mind. I would like to think I could have the same open mind with Daft but no promises.

I fully admit and completely recognize that is this situation I am basically being an ass and I'm not proud of myself.

RJ AND TEELA, any chance we could move the date for Robyn's sake? Any chance to get a chance to hear Robyn sing live Kari Okie is worth making concessions.

Wally, Daft is great in person (as well as here on the forum). Not quite sure why you don't like him. Have you ever said why you don't like him? I'm curious.

Juror, I wasn't scared to meet Wally. I just didn't want to meet Wally. But I like Wally now, not even sure why I didn't like him in the first place. I guess my head wasn't in a good place back then.

If you guys move the date to July, I can make it. Just can't do a June date...too much packing to do and I still have to find a place to live.

:hbfrompogo:

Check your calendar, woman!

No matter how many times I tell Wally that my pick threads (posting style in general) are DRIPPING with schtick he doesn't seem to get it.

Wally, I'm 38 fucking years old. Do you think I say things like "boys" and "common one time" and "HUGH" in a serious manner?

common guy one time.

Muddy, explaining this is like trying to explain why some people like Hip Hop and some people like Opera.
Swinger does what he does with no qualms about keeping it real. Daft (to me at least) wants respect for being a regular guy but post play threads like a wanna be tout.
It's just a thing Muddy can't really explain it. I like JJ Gold too but others who try to be like him annoy the piss out of me.

Daft, Robyn asked me a question and I answered it the best way I could. For the record though most (not all ) but most people's posting style do reflect at least a portion (in some cases a large portion) of how they are in real life. Naturally some ore more liberal, some are more vicarious and some are complete hams in their posting styles but generally there is some characteristics of reality.

I've never met Muddy but I'm willing to bet he is a good deal like he post. I can promise you I am what you see on these pages, maybe sometimes I play a little dumber than I am but only a wee bit. Matty, another I have never met but would be willing to bet that while he may be more interactive here than in a normal social setting he is pretty much the same guy. I have met Robyn and Bread and they are who they are as is Teela and BGS.

Daft you may in fact be 100% not that guy but if I could play it in the Durito 500 I would double down on 80% same.
