Agnostic here...being thrown into Catholicism makes it rather difficult to be an atheist in my eyes. The church brainwashes you thoroughly. I catch myself saying a prayer when I want something insignificant and then I am reminded of my own silliness again and again.

i grew up southern baptist, emmi. i understand where you are coming from with the brainwashing... i am a realist from head to toe now, but i still catch myself saying a prayer. i dont do it when its something minuscule though...usually when its something i deem very important... very two faced considering im a "show me some proof or get the fuck out of here" type of person.
