RR this might sound like I'm joking but I'm not. I've been lifting at a decent pace for a couple months now and after every work out I like to down a can of tuna fish. A beer too, but I already know the beer's dumb. Do you agree with the tuna?

you need a protein shake after the workouts...you are looking for the quickest absorption and shakes provide that... limit your canned tuna intake to 3-4 cans a week MAX... it can make you sick due to the high levels of mercury... really sick.. substitute some of the tuna with canned chicken... i throw cajun seasoning or hot sauce on it... you also need some sort of carb with that post workout meal... brown rice or sweet potato for restoring glycogen levels(especially after a heavy leg workout)
 
optimum nutrition vanilla and choc flavors ... the choc taste identical to hersheys and the vanilla is great for mixing fruit ...
isopure zero cal pineapple-orange-banana flavor .. it aint bad, but a touch sour...i usually throw a sweet-n-low in there...
if you like strawberry flavor stuff, the protein the sell at walmart has a decent strawberry taste to it and its decent quality protein

but if you have a costco in the area, they sell the ON van and choc in 4.5lb jugs for 50bucks... its the cheapest price anywhere it can be found
 
meal after the early morning workout...

on the way home...60g protein shake/banana

8oz low fat smoked turkey sausage with bbq dry rub sprinkled on top...
6 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup fatfree cheese...
4 whole grain whole wheat blueberry waffles... (2 didnt make the pic :nope: ) only carbs for the day...
