I did look up the CEO. Some of those e-bikes have crazy power and torque for off-road use, we're talking 1000 to 2500W. Sounds like I'd be mostly responsible for traditional "acoustic" bike sales though. Hybrid role, I'd be mostly at home, on the road 1 or 2 days a week to visit dealers. Job is at a new-ish distributor.

Soooo our biggest supplier has decided that they don’t need distributors anymore. They only want independents who work exclusively with them, and at reduced income. I’m not buying anything at 60. Thus I’m out of a 30-year job right after the Super Bowl.

They did that with the bread and chip runs in Canada years ago.With the cost of fuel and maintenance of the delivery truck plus servicing of the loan to buy the routes,it left very little for the owner operators.It was a wise decision not to buy in.
