Here's one opinion of the situation ...
“No other union in the nation is going as far as the Chicago Teachers Union. Its demands highlight its quest for power and expediency, pushing a radical political agenda on parents and students at the taxpayers’ expense,” said Mailee Smith, senior director of labor policy at the Illinois Policy Institute. “The city can’t afford these egregious demands as CPS is already facing a $400 million hole in 2025. But with their former lobbyist in the mayor's office, CTU is well positioned to make off with some of its big-ticket items – which could end up costing Chicagoans billions.”

Reminds me of Camden NJ situation but much MUCH bigger scale which I posted here (I believe?) in detail.
In 2013, then Gov. Chris Christie ordered a state takeover of the troubled Camden school system, citing poor test scores, a high dropout rate and a low graduation rate. The district has been run by the state for nearly 11 years. The Camden Renaissance school program started in 2014.

The people running the CTU along with the city of Chicago aren't smart enough to handle these jobs. Just a simple fact. It APPEARS very appropriate the DNC is being held in that city.

1. Being told to and then agreeing to definitely isn't violent, isn't a coup. Slightly vicious, I guess?

2. The delegates voted her in as the nominee. As far as voting her into office, that'll be up to the general election.

I always see this as a popular talking point, but why is it? Shouldn't Republicans be thrilled to be running against someone that dem voters didn't select? That's an advantage in the general, no?

I think that fact that it's a "talking point" is because the entire Democratic voting base AND the media told us "Biden was absolutely fine" until a few weeks ago when he's clearly been lost in the supermarket for 2+ years.

So he was unfit to be president for the last 2+ years, dem voters didn't notice and media didn't report it until after he made a mockery of himself at the debate.

Media (which supposedly never says anything bad about democrats) drags Biden. Voters demand Biden step down. He does. They have a new candidate that isn't "lost in the supermarket".

That's a good thing, right? I mean in case Trump loses, aren't you glad it isn't Biden? Didn't dems do the right thing in replacing him, even if they were late to realizing he was "lost"?
 
Yes. And reasonable republicans feel this way. I'm still butt hurt that the media (and dem family/friends) weren't honest with us or themselves about Joe B (he's been fucking nuts for a while) and I'm doing plenty of I told you so.

But the Trump narrative has changed on this. Now it's attack the process/system and as an added bonus set up an excuse/red herring should they lose.
 
If anything the way it's unwound on the dem side has convinced me that there's more credence to a shadow govt theory or oligarchy or however you want to describe it.

I'm not sure if this pushes me or others closer to Trump. Probably not because of some east coast conservative social values I have. Hes certainly not a part of the working party system (which i think i prefer but dont know why) since he trends dictator/facist... But he is NOT like the shadow or oligarchy either... choice between two broken view points for me.

I'm just saying everyone was lying to you. It's immaterial if I think it's a "good thing"

In no world is Kamala the best the Democrats have. It's not even remotely close. She hasn't accomplished anything.

I'm kinda surprised anyone actually believes any of this is organic.
