i will never send a notorious crooked scamming thief my money and would never under any circumstance give their book a better rating and publish an article giving the book any sort of promotion... so yes, its no secret that sbr takes money for ratings and its obvious to everyone that this will be the case with this book as well...

Is this old news? I remember a story like this from at least a year ago. Apex dude makes some token gesture of settling an old stiffjob - which just happened to be with a guy who had become an SBR mod (Lakerfan or whatever he is called now??) - and SBR publicizes it like it means something. It was weird. Not good.

Has something new happened or are we still talking about the same situation?

It wasn't just Apex by the way. That guy that ran Apex - his name isn't coming to me right now but I'll think of it - ran a series of scams. There were a bunch of incidents before Apex. If ever there was a guy who should have to prove himself over a very long period of time, it is him.

Pretty new, Muddy. Thread started yesterday by a poster who was paid by them after a few years. It seems that Justin has contacted them and they seem to be seeking to right the ship. There's also another thread by Justin asking for anyone that might have been stiffed by Apex to let him know. Bill reported that they haven't had a no-pay complaint on Bet33 in the 4-5 years that they've been in business. If that's the case (and I don't think Bill would lie about something like that), an upgrade to C- or whatever doesn't seem completely inappropriate.

As far as Ray's thread is concerned, I have nothing to say other than what I said in bigbet's thread at SBR. I'm very happy he got his money from Apex after 6yrs. I think that's great news.
