I am leaning under here, Schalke is tough team at home but they have been in very poor form in domestic league play and beating Inter Milan is not what the great accomplishment it once was. The Under is the best play but I am taking Man-u at a pick as well.

Schalke will need to score one here or they are going to be in trouble at the return match at old trafford, and if they press it opens up a chance for a counter attack and Manchester certainly has the attackers with guys like Nani and company. United seems to have everyone back except berbatov and schalke has some key players missing, Manchester is certainly the more experienced team, and when it comes down to it, Manchester is not Inter milan by a long shot.

The Germans have been a thorn in Fergusons side for though, witness last years ouster of the red devils by Bayern Munich.

The under seems like the best play as a scoreless draw seems a miserable reality, look at Manchesters results so far on the road in champions league play.

1-0 in Chelsea
0-0 in Marseille
1-0 in Valencia
1-0 in Glasgow
3-0 in Bursa

An interesting stat I saw on BBC, Manchester United are yet to concede a goal during their five away games this term but Schalke have won every single one of their home matches in the Champions League this season.

The under seems the best play, first half and Game. I am taking Manu U at pk as well.

Cheers

I wanna tail on both man and the under and have some action. bit that nugget kind of throws me for a loop.

I think i'll got medium on the under.....unless Pavy checks in and convinces me to do somthing else.

not that I don't trust you yet Greg.

but Pavy really penis slaps the bookies on a regular basis

You are right, Pavy is very sharp on soccer. Hope he checks in today. Schalke has been tough at home in champions league play but you also have to look at their opponents, tel aviv , benfica, and lyon are nowhere near the class of Manchester , even Inter milan is a shell of the team it once was. I think a draw is huge possibility here so take it a pk if you wager it.

Good luck Archie

Appreciate the well thought out write up Greg

I love to bet afternoon soccer based on nothing, or the rationales of forum posters....

you really put the attention into the details though and sell me.

I have to withold from making this more then action/rec unit sized bets somtimes.

If these two hit, I'm just tailing you blindly at regular unit size the rest of the year..

goog luck to us:shakeit:

Good luck guys, wait until pavy checks in Archie and if you lose we can all the lay the blame on him. LOL , This is not typical afternoon soccer though Archie, today and tomorrow are two of the biggest games of the year in europe. If you like , check out the bbc sites, punters lounge and I use a few other sites researching these games, I just don't see Manu losing today to schalke, Manchester hasn't lost in 11 European games - with their last defeat coming against Bayern Munich around a year ago.

Cheers

PUTA MANCHESTER

Everyone can win archie, with an under and a draw. The draw really benefits Manchester as they go back to old trafford in the driving seat, the under is the best wager today in my opinion , a 1-0 Manchester united win or 0-0 game is how I see it. Manchester is so disciplined on defense, the exact opposite of that last game I saw with Schalke and Inter

Schalke: Neuer; Uchida, Matip, Metzelder, Sarpei; Papadopoulos, Jurado, Farfn, Baumjohann; Ral, Edu

Man Utd: Van der Sar; Fabio Ferdinand Vidic Evra; Valencia Carrick Giggs Park; Rooney; Hernandez.

Howedes is a massive miss tonight.

I am looking at the line history on the total at sports options, but still sticking with under though . I just dont see united giving up any goals early and Raul shouldn't have as an easy time today as he has had. manchester can sit back and wait for counters, this should be a great game
