I posted up at Bovada for last years SB to bet Broncos, have been screwing around with the leftover $ since. I am not currently a serious sportsbettor

I've never bet on credit, no idea how that works
It's basically like betting with a local, but you put in bets on an online site. Most books pay a company a set price for each player (pph-pay per head) to use the site. It's convenient if you are in the U.S. and don't like the hassle of posting up, but the sites are usually limited in their offerings, and limits and types of bets can be governed by the individual bookie. For example, my guy doesn't offer mlb team totals.

5 dimes used to offer agents a pph setup and Whale used to use them. that was nice, but 5d no longer does the agent deal.

I never get Atlanta right these days. Looks like Tron had the right side.

Your Calgary wager makes this very believable.

Bet now, pay or collect later.

Some fukking pro.

One time I went to a NASCAR party and knew nothing about car racing (which everyone knew.) I asked a friend for a line to use to throw out there and shock everyone...all I remember is something about "the push coming over the tri-oval," but it was more involved than that. I had no idea what it meant. I still don't. I said that and the room went quiet...everyone was like wth?? lol. Damn that was funny.

you're getting caught up in the hype due to 6-1 score plomber

No, I'm not.

Calgary was not even predicted to make the playoffs this year, somehow they fluked it out.

Anaheim was a potential Cup team pre-season.

Calgary not very good, and they are no longer over achieving. Now they are starting their backup goalie to try to turn things around. Great strategy.

I've watched alot of hockey but especially watch the Canadian teams and the Flames are toast vs the Ducks.
Expect another non-close game tonight.

Too easy.

Whats their to know?

Cars go really fast on a big oval/circle.

Rednecks love it.

I don't know. I think there was something to do with "drafting" also. We used to do Nascar 10 liners. That was about the extent of my involvement. I kind of knew the cars/drivers back in the day...Mark Martin Miller car #6..Tony Stewart #20..

oh and Jeff Gordon #24

the type of racing they do depends a lot on the type of track they are on. Talladega is a "Super speedway". It is the largest track in the NASCAR circuit. It is roughly 2.6 miles around it. It has banking on the sides. They use "restrictor plates" at 'Dega and Daytona to keep the speeds down. They drivers reach about 200 mph or a little over it now. That is for safety reasons. The draft is used more at these two tracks, using the air flow of the car in front of you or to the side of you to help increase your speed.

Tracks like Richmond last week or Bristol are short tracks. They are 3/4 and 1/2 a mile tracks. They aren't as wide as bigger tracks so you don't see a lot of 3 or 4 wide cars. Aerodynamics don't play as big of a part of the cars at these tracks. But they are more closely packed together seeing as they are smaller venues.

NASCAR uses 2 road courses, Sonoma and Watkin's Glenn. Then most of the rest are 1 mile to 1.5 mile tracks. They have different surfaces and various banking to mix it up some.

OK, I concede. I left out drafting. I'm sure we got it all now.

Nascar = Cars go fast on an oval/circle and cars not in front draft behind the leader(s).

Also, pit stops. Cant forget about them.

:chickendance:
I'm getting killed in MLB today...was going to put Indians over in..(missed it,) but did manage to get in Cinci, Baltimore, KC....my only saving grace is Houston and looks like they are closing the gap.

Nascar looks like a good alternative.

Call me this week. I have questions for you....not today though.

I have an ex-boyfriend from Talladega. His favorite thing to say was "They have a little race track there." ...he thought it was cute. He was an asshole. He was abusive to women. He got hit while on his motorcycle and is now paralyzed. True Story.

KARMA.

Awesome. Detroit just scored 3 more

I better go check out the BB thread.

Nina do you have a zone play for today? I don't think Kato is going to be around.

How come Tron's "That's why they play 9 innings" luck doesn't carry over to me? If my team is down early, they always stay down. Sigh

And Plommer...my questions are not regarding what you may be thinking....mostly a computer issue.
