It was great like I knew it would be! This was an assessment appointment and they don't know what work will be required because they have to pop off a crown and it will depend on what they find underneath. Therefore they don't know exactly what it will cost. It's all a big groovy mystery. Fun!

Cost: anywhere from $2400 - $3500.

Or else there is the option of extraction for a couple hundred bucks. I am already missing one tooth on the other side so this would be a chance to have both sides match. Symmetry is something I have been looking for in my life.

It would be quite an adventure to try and find areas of my mouth to chew with other than the back molars. There is so much positive coming out of this.

:muddy:

It is pretty ridiculous. And I could easily envision a scenario where there are complications and it ends up costing more.

For one tooth. That I just had root canaled and crowned ~3 years ago. With the money I will have spent, a person could get a reliable used car.

One tooth.

I spent 3+ hours in the dentist's chair yesterday. They had to do some hard work on me and man-handle me pretty good. I took a pee break at about the halfway point and I looked at myself in the mirror and it looked like I had been grappling with Randy "Macho Man" Savage. By the time I was done they had actually dressed me up as Little Bo Peep.

I was all like gee whiz.
