Especially when you don't have benefits!
i know people who have come to costa rica from the states to get expensive dental work done. If it's really cost-effective to do, I wonder why more people don't.
People probably have a stigma about getting care in some of these countries outside of the US.
I have a friend who is married to a girl from Colombia and he has traveled to Colombia for treatment and raves about the care.
Its hard to change some stereotypes and perceptions no matter how much money one would save.

Emergency dental surgery is covered by the provincial health plan but visits to the dentist are definitely not covered.Dental isn't publicly-funded? If not, that's silly. People who have a lot of dental problems also tend to have a lot of health problems.
I paid $100 last time I had my regular cleaning. Are they unrealistic with dental costs? How much does a normal cleaning (without x-rays) cost?
