Today I have an orientation possibly leading to training for my B (Bus driver's) license.

Making the magic happen every day.

Is there room here at Gamelive for TWO bus drivers?

I think not pal.

PS: I was scheduled for a job interview today but the guy called and said he'd hire me without the interview 'cause he needs drivers ASAP! I'm in Winnipeg and he arranged for me to do my pre-employment drug/alchohol tests here and to get me to Estevan to get setup to start training in Red Deer Alberta.

PS: This is the gig I was aiming for and I will not be pursuing any other jobs as I have hit paydirt!

I will be driving a tractor-trailer around to oil wells delivering supplies to keep them operating, it will be the highest paying job of my life.

To say the hiring process out here is different is an understatement, Saskatchewan is bizarro world compared to Ontario, the labour shortage here is nothing less than phoenominal!

I've already left the mine site, yes.

Oilfield jobs are the top of the food chain out here and Plommer is getting his due.

PS: I didn't come out here to make "good" wages, I came out here to be overpaid.

My new home is Estevan Saskatchewan. Home of the "Oil patch"!

Ah, I didn't realise you'd already left. I'm out of the loop lately.

Congrats on your new job and the big bucks!

good luck guys.

Plommer will you be near winnipeg still with this new gig?

maybe in late july you can come out to trout island on lake of the woods. We'll drink some beers with Stu Grimson

that is, IF canada lets me in this year

Archie, I'd be willing to make the trip to Lake of the Woods to meet you and Stu. It's approximately a 9 hour drive from Estevan but its an easy drive, straight, flat & fast.

I'd do it.

I still love Ontario and the northwest part of the province is gorgeous.

PS: You'll make it in, we don't yet have vigilantes monitoring the 49th parallel for illegal alien Americans searching for a better life north of the border.

PPS: The USA's largest supplier of oil is Canada.

http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/...ons/company_level_imports/current/import.html

"Canada remained the largest exporter of total petroleum in February, exporting 2,831 thousand barrels per day to the United States, which is an increase from last month (2,826 thousand barrels per day). The second largest exporter of total petroleum was Saudi Arabia with 1,114 thousand barrels per day. "

American fuel consumption is helping Plommer financially.

I am picturing muddy in a conductor's hat welcoming all passengers aboard with his pearly whites flashed. I imagine Muddy using the intercom to provide nuggets of information throughout the trip. Muddy's Tours of Knowledge, You'll get where you're goin' smarter than you were before!"

I appreciate you taking the time to remove Blitty's nutsack from your mouth to let me know I made a grammatical error, pal.

You Newfies are tops!

stu has an island in lake of the woods, ontario. there are literally thousands of islands up there. and pretty much each one is privately owned.

Stu's island is about a 3 min boat ride from the island I visit every august. Its partially owned by one of my best friends here in chicago.

also Wayne Primeau's family has an island nearby. on Sunday's in the summer they have a "church on the beach gathering" Stu is a deacon or elder there. somtimes he even preaches.

The Primeau's have a yearly volleyball event/tourney... Stu is super tall and skinny now and athletic now. His team almost always wins. He's very competitive and I want to beat his team bad one of these summers. Hopefully Stevek173 will come up with me some time.

I hadn't thought of it that way but that sounds pretty damn good.
