Like I said in the other thread, EVERYONE and their mother knew this deal was set so he would retire at 38/39... they didn't even try to hide it.

Some have been marginal, but none have ever been this blatantly obvious.

This will be a LONG process. The league certainly did the right thing; 95 mil first 11 years, 7 mil last 6 years was a joke. If the guy is going to get paid 10 per for 10 years and then retire, the salary cap needs to be a little closer to that.

This contract will stay as is, the NHLPA has i think 4 days to decide the outcome
