IMO can't force teams to markets just because they have millions of people living there? Winnipeg has nothing and can't imagine them not being supportive of this team?

Yes, Winnipeg had some low numbers but Atlanta has lost interest with this team again! Get rid of the Islanders too IMO! I heard that arena is a shithole too?

Last year from Forbes article .... Although the Jets have never won a playoff game, the string of sellouts that began with the team's first game continues and there is a waiting list of 4,000 for season's tickets.

This season Jets 102.1% capacity while Isles 75.9%!

What's the Avco Cup?

The WHA championship. That's where the Jets were born and and they later joined the NHL in the expansion/merger along with Edmonton, Hartford Whalers (now Carolina), and the Quebec Nordiques (now Colorado).

The Jets were the flagship franchise of the WHA in the 70's, snagging Bobby Hull from the NHL in a big splashy move. They won multiple Avco Cups.

Unfortunately, by the time they got to the NHL, they were always meeting Gretzky and the Oilers early in the playoffs so that didn't work out very well for them.
