We know Putin hacked election for Trump because we think he had motive. His motive was that he hates Hillary. How do we know that? She said bad things about him so it only makes sense that he would.

Yes, but they don't usually dwell on particulars. They say "hacking the election" to mislead anybody who wants to think the vote count was affected.
Also I loved it when they said Russian media such as RT are guilty of undermining the election because they said negative things about Clinton on their program.
