Scored some brand new factory-second Tricker's chukkas for 1/6th of the regular price. They had a couple scratches that disappeared with some light brushing.

It's not looting but it's close.

What is factory-second?

When stuff is not in perfect condition, it gets tossed aside to be sold at discount. That's more prevalent with high-end brands that can't possibly charge full retail for even a slightly blemished product.

That is a 400 GBP shoe that I got for 62 + shipping.

Boner would be proud. Probably not.

Stuff you can buy at Factory-outlet malls/stores for a fraction of the price. Can get some great deals on name-brands.

If yer gonna buy them its good to get the best price. Im highly suspect of sales/outlet prices etc (less so of facorty second and refurbished)... im sure you've scored some good deals but Matty your logic is often dangerously close to the females "I got it on sale." Not to mention if it's sooo easy to score shoes that "normally" cost $1000 for $200 aren't they just "normally" $200 shoes? Again, if you're gonna get em, get the best price. Good work.

Also beware of factory stores. Most of that stuff is different clothing/goods manufactured specifically for the factory store, its generally not the main line stuff at a discount due to overruns and last seasons style...most brands now demarcate the difference with a symbol on the label. For example j.crew factory items, items manufactured specifically for the factory store have two diamonds on the tag. An item with two diamonds was never a j.crew item to begin with.... conversely of you're shopping there and you find an item without the diamonds its truely a "main line" item that was once in a j.crew store.

I hear ya. I definitely rationalize some stuff.

These Tricker's boots are never discounted though. They've got the Royal seal and all. I put one bid on eBay and forgot about it until eBay told me I "won."

But yeah, that Russian watch, total pawn move.
