Which are the major TV networks in Canada?

Like in America in almost all the big markets there's NBC, CBS, FOX and ABC affiliates. Besides CBC, which ones are in Canada?

I was gonna say, CTV/City/Global do not have much original content. Most of it is syndicated US shows. They do the news and some crappy shows that Anglo-Canadians do not watch.

Anglo Canada does not care much for its own TV.

Different story in Quebec where the TV industry has a very captive audience. Quebec TV stars make beaucoup money.

They used to be independent before CTV bought them.


There are also Canadian cable channels - specialty channels etc.

We get all the US networks and the US Superstations on cable.

You've probably watched home improvement, fashion and comedy shows that were Canadian made and didn't even know it.

Steven and Chris are syndicated on US tv stations. I know because I've seen them on US stations based in Detroit.

If you guys want some good Canadian TV, watch a show called Corner Gas. It is pretty funny and quite Canadian and just ridiculous enough to make you LOL. It is not in production anymore though but it ran for at least 5 years.

I skimmed that list Plommer. I have never seen any of those shows, but have heard of Fairly Oddparents, Queer As Folk, and Love it or List it. Also heard of Degrassi but again, haven't seen it.
