I'd say fundraising correlates much better with crappiest ways to die than with death rates, and I think that makes sense.

We're not going to get rid of death any time soon. We might as well focus on the shittiest ways to go.

Heart attacks are better than ALS. If we cure heart disease, we're probably just gonna die in a worse way.

We should probably be encouraging heart disease.

What is heart disease anyway, besides boring?

Is it an actual thing? Is it a disease that someone could theoretically cure? Is it one thing?

Or is it just a blanket term they throw at the fact that hearts give out eventually if something else doesn't kill the organism first?

I have my theories but I'm not positive so I will refrain for now from issuing a blanket pffft.
