I am going Tuesday. I have not been since my dental insurance ended over 2 years ago. I hate going to the dentist, but I have stretched this out too long already. I always feel like they are judging me. It's painful and then the bill is painful.

Does yours always want you to demonstrate to them how you brush? It's like a test.

I'm sure this will push me over the # for the Sapphire card free plane tix though. That's a plus.

I went for 3 visits in December and Jan

it was my first time at a Dentist since moving to Chicago in 2004

Had a bunch of little cavities, i'm thinking 6-7 on the inside corners of my teeth (never floss)

I'm supposed to go back in a few weeks, getting the reminders... but I think i'll wait until winter again.

I probably have cavities too. My teeth look great from the front, but I have a lot of metal in the back ones. I just hate spending money on dentistry. It was bad enough when I had dental "insurance" (more of a discount plan) but this is going to really painful I think.

I'll probably need that scale and plane deal whatever that is.

she did some gum health measurement thing on each tooth gap. It took like 20 mins

she would just call out a number 1-3 or 1-4 to her assistant to record. I did very well. I brush the hell out of my teeth with ALOT Of elbow grease and angles and randomness

Then how do you have all those cavities?

You know...now that you say that, I think I did read that...not sure if you posted before or if I saw it. Good to know!

I can always count on you to make me feel better about not doing the things I have always thought I should do....drink more water, floss etc...

I love my new dentist. I need one crown. No cavities (other than one related to the tooth with the crown.) I was expecting needing two crowns. I could use two, but she said I could get away with waiting on the other one. Hence, I will wait on the other one.

I was told I should floss more.

$1300+ Normally that would bother me, but since I was expecting a $2000 or more bill, I am actually ecstatic.
