The other Vegas Dave is the absolute worst human being. Blocked me on Twitter years ago. Didn’t like being asked why he was selling $15 Tshirts if he was winning all these huge bets. Guy looks like the spawn of a muskrat and otter.

Engaged to the same girlfriend from 10 years ago?

Davey did you propose on Christmas?

Davey the other Vegas Dave is going to sue you for trademark infringement: https://trademark.trademarkia.com/vegas-dave-87347395.html

LOL, he probably will.

Nah, December 11. New girl!

The absolute worst. His rise to "fame" has made me so, so sad.

Where u living Davey?

Damn, quite the traveler! I've had multiple moves since returning to LA in 2009 but they've all been in this area.

My parents moved out to Vegas a couple years ago and love it. Have a buddy that lives in Summerlin that also loves it. Fiancee is the only thing keeping me here at this point... every week or two I throw in some random facts about life in Vegas, cost of living, etc... playing the long game. Hopefully sometime in 2024 she'll "have the idea" to move to Vegas and I can say "oh wow yeah interesting would have never thought of that great idea babe..."

Nice! I'm currently in Irvine, preparing to make the nashville move.

Vegas would be in my top 10 places to live. Especially with the new sports franchises.

Have friends in Nashville, they love it.

And yeah, Vegas is great. All the areas right around the Strip are pretty shady, but you go 15-20 minutes away from the Strip and there are some really nice communities. Then you are a stone's throw away from a nice local casino or a short drive away from all of the Strip's madness. Would be nice to have access to poker tournaments that didn't suck like they do in LA, too.

Why do poker tourneys suck in LA? Alot of anglers (cheaters)?

There was one real good player in Cleveland that pulled some really low/nasty angles and the lowdown on him was that he played pro for a long time in LA, and that's what they do out there.

how is your friend that played Poker on espn doing, Raiders guy?

Jeff is doing great! He's a poker announcer on Poker Go, announces some streamed tournaments and does a poker podcast as well.

Oh, there are for sure plenty of shady characters on the LA scene, but I dont think that's unique to LA. Most poker rooms around the nation are lousy with them. Degens gonna degen.

Issue with LA tournaments is the structures. You virtually never see a tourney that has better than 30 minute blinds. Most have 25 or 20. And most of them skip levels, too.

That's just way too fast for live poker. 30m with a perfect structure is playable, but really you need at least 40 minutes and a decent starting stack to get some real play. When the blinds are going up every 25 mins and they are skipping levels, the tourney devolves into a shovefest way too quickly.
