If you ever get out to San Fran bay area head to the Winchester House. the widow of the guy that made the gun was a total nut and her house is full of that shit.

a lot of old art is so incredibly over hyped... matty wont like to hear it, but half picassos paintings resemble those found in any 3rd grade art class... he is an easy example, but also he created other paintings like The Poet, Guitar Player that are so incredibly complex...would like to know which ones he painted under the influence

Hah! Oh man, I have watched so many documentaries on this place, it looks awesome! I would love to see it in person. Have you ever been?

Kidding, not a hugh fan of cubism either. Picasso is the lone exception, mostly cause he was an interesting character. Guy was a proper degenerate.

Otherwise yeah, as an observer from 2012, cubism is blah.

Then again if you're unwilling to take into account the context around it, most art is blah and/or too cryptic to be enjoyable.
