What moment in time did Radiohead start sliding into an ocean of suck?

I saw Radiohead live in 2000 or 2001 (can't remember) at Grant Park in Chicago. It was amazing. They played for 3 hours to about 25,000 fans. I got there early enough to work my way to the front (sort of). I was about 50 feet from the band. They did 2 or 3 encores. Probably one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Even these "too smart for their own good" Kid A-type intellectual math meets Euro DJ songs came off amazingly well in concert.

To answer the question I think Kid A and Amnesiac are both decent and could probably make 1 good album. The follow up to this is where it really got to be too much for me, although "Wolf At The Door" off Hail To The Theif...that one is a great song. In Rainbows is eccentially garbage of the highest degree as is anything Thom Yorke has done in any solo work since.
 
Weird Fishes off of In Rainbows is a pretty good track but it goes off the deep end about 3 minutes in (I think that part is called Arpeggio or something like that). They essentially ruin the entire track and it almost seems intentional. The rest of In Rainbows is avant garde drivel for me personally.

I really don't mind if people want to come in here and say how much they suck but just give a few reasons to back it up. Radiohead have many sucktastic qualities
 
I think the answer to the question is Kid A. I actually like parts of it - although not a fraction as much as The Bends and OK Computer which would both probably be on my top 20 albums of all time.

I have this musical snob friend - one of these guys who (thinks he) knows everything about music and (thinks he) has better taste than everyone else in the world - and I remember him getting very angry when Kid A came out and downright hostile about Amnesiac.

If he says Kid A is the answer then Kid A is the answer.
 
As for Arcade Fire, the husband and wife of this band play the piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, xylophone, glockenspiel, keyboard, French horn, accordion, harp, mandolin and hurdy-gurdy.

I think that is pretty cool. Also, are good live, I have only seen them on TV, but looks like a good show. Not blowing them, think they are good, not great.

I like Creep.

I can see how Thom Yorke's voice could rub people the wrong way. His voice rubs me the wrong way sometimes too. Like I said, I feel they have 8-10 incredible songs and the rest is below average.
