If you have real job that is your substantial income source I'd imagine they are real unlikely to notice. But you can always get audited for something completely different and then get fucked.

This was Potato's only income for the year. Potato had a real job in 2009, but the company went under. Potato is a college student who's primary income was betting on sports.
Potato went through his bank transactions and figured out his net profit, etc. He also has several thousands of dollars of losing tickets laying around his room.
Potato also doesn't know where exactly you claim it on TurboTax. This is the first time Potato has filed taxes with gambling winnings.

I assume if the money is still off shore it doesn't count as winning right? It has to be in your bank acc?
