My understanding is that Spotify is the worst offender. Anyone more knowledgeable know otherwise?

I use spotify and usually subscribe to the monthly plan to avoid ads. Then i figured out that listening to spotify directly via web browser with an ad blocker instead of using the app on my pc has the same effect, zero ads. So I stopped paying for the service.

The issue is that I want to download my library to my phone for mobile use. Spotify noticed I stopped my sub and dangled a carrot, 3 months for $9.99 total, so $3 a month. I'm back.
