So, I didn't mention that it was Paul Simon and Sting, because I've been under the impression that I hate Sting.
It turns out that I don't. Sting was awesome. I think he looks and sounds better, now, than he ever did. I didn't expect that. When he sang Paul Simon's America and then turned it into Message in a Bottle, it was one of the highlights of the evening.
Probably about one third of the show was Simon and Sting sharing the stage together. They sounded great together. Paul played Obvious Child, which made my friends and I very happy. Paul also played some Bo Diddley, which, of course, was awesome.
I learned that Sting wrote the song I Hung My Head, which I'm familiar with because of Johnny Cash American IV. That was a shocker. I love that song, and I just assumed it was an old cowboy song. Good job, Sting.
All in all, an incredible show and a very happy night.
