What are you listening to?

Let us know if he's any good in concert these days. Summer road trip music...Graceland always finds a way onto those mixes. One of my all time favorite albums.

So, I didn't mention that it was Paul Simon and Sting, because I've been under the impression that I hate Sting.

It turns out that I don't. Sting was awesome. I think he looks and sounds better, now, than he ever did. I didn't expect that. When he sang Paul Simon's America and then turned it into Message in a Bottle, it was one of the highlights of the evening.

Probably about one third of the show was Simon and Sting sharing the stage together. They sounded great together. Paul played Obvious Child, which made my friends and I very happy. Paul also played some Bo Diddley, which, of course, was awesome.

I learned that Sting wrote the song I Hung My Head, which I'm familiar with because of Johnny Cash American IV. That was a shocker. I love that song, and I just assumed it was an old cowboy song. Good job, Sting.

All in all, an incredible show and a very happy night.

Great report. Not a huge Sting fan but wouldn't be crushed if he showed up at a show I was going to. Synchronicity II would be cool live.

Have you heard any of Simon's recent stuff? Some decent tunes sprinkled in there.

I was actively disappointed that he was going to be there. I liked The Police, back in the day, but since then I'd really come to hate hearing him on the radio. I don't know exactly why.

But, wow, he was a great performer, and clearly having an awesome time up there. Good energy. I'm pretty sure it was a much better show than Paul Simon alone would have been.

No, but I should. I haven't listened to anything since Graceland.
