wait, there is an asian show at goldstrike tonight, but i havent been told if im expected to go or not...just looked at my horseshoe pts. and apparently i have already booked a room, although i havent been alerted of that yet either :wacko:

My nephews are basically my kids. I attend every sporting event (has to be BIG for me not to be there like being in ICU for 3 days), school plays, school parties, church plays....whatever. Have even been the one to take one of them to the doctor as needed. Do not like being the one to hold them down for a strep test but will do it.

I had never volunteered in the past . didnt think I had the patience or time which is still true.
but now my oldest is at an age where the kids can comprehend a little and understand.
IMO trying to coach kids under 8 or 9 is about same as herding cats.

initially I tried not to step on any toes after they asked for my help ... to hell with that today!!!
when HC cant tell if the defense is in a man to man or zone then its time.
we still suck but I've got most them learning more each game and understanding theres a shit ton of difference with organized bball and street ball.

my mom and dad hardly ever miss any of my kids events
shame I cant say the same for their mom, she misses more than she attends
