went to a bailongo but got fooled, i knew of what a bailongo is as in the argentinian way which is a popular joint for the pueblo almost rule no dress code basically a dance hall for the poor no one gets stop at the door popular music etc, like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTis-q81AgM, stuck up people find them vulgar.
but here it has another meaning and i didn't know, it's a dance place but for the older type music and thus for older people, how can i explain like that scene in la bamba where there are chairs against the walls lined up all around the dance floor and people dancing in the middle, similar. so i get there and immediately i go oh lol, but fuk it i stayed and they were playing these awesome real old songs, boleros, chachacha, danzon, the old 50's 60's style. it was just me and a transsexual the youngest ones, everybody else were 40+, even danced with the tranny she told me gay people like going to those places because they don't get harassed there, the older folks are more respectful. danced mostly with this tight body very well taken care of 40 yo school teacher, damn she looked nice, i fuk up though cause i didn't saw when she left and damn no number.
rito it reminded me of that scene in diaros de motocicleta where ernesto is dancing cha cha cha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0xYammUF5I&t=8m12s
fuk i went out for lunch, that's all i was going to do boys, was in recovery mode from the night before, felt dehydrated but then I saw a flyer ad for the bailongo
a bolero
