Poor guy never had a chance

What’s harder?

Winning 10 sports wagers in a row or picking a horse to win 3 horse races in a row?

I’m convinced picking 3 horses in a row is harder. I think my record of winning sports bets is 11. To be honest picking a horse to win 3 times in a row may not have ever happened in my lifetime.

Picking the same horse to win 3 consecutive or to pick the winner of three races in a row (hitting a p3)?

Either way and without qualifiers I think picking the horses is easier. Many people picked American Pharoah or Justify to win the triple. Hell, many probably had them in the Ark or the Santa Anita derbies and in their earlier wins back to their maiden. I hit something like 4-5 pick 5s last year (but they weren't single horse p5s). I know I've hit a 1-2-1 p3 but never a 1-1-1.

Doubt I've ever gone 10 in a row on sports, I guess you could prob hit 10x -1000 faves or something.

Playing 3 races in a row and picking a winning horse.

The way you pick to bet to win it might be tough but that's cause you're profitable if you go 1 for 3. You could pick 5-2s and 2-1s all day and you'd go 3-0 once after a week. For what it's worth I know your way is better long term. In sports fading the public is probably a good strategy but in horses you're LITERALLY betting against the public and the house is agnostic... makes for fairly inefficient markets to take advantage of.

What’s harder?

To be a commercial airplane pilot or be a monetarily successful singer?

I’m going pilot. It’s close but I think those bar bands that play covers make enough money to get by no?
To be a successful musician is harder if successful means to live 100% off your work in a decent way. You might be the most talented artist and you might not even get recognition. Plus you're competing with other Entertainment options not just music. People have million of entertainment options now a days.

While being a pilot takes discipline, anybody can achieve it with a little dedication. I know there's a huge shortage of commercial airplane pilots outside the western countries. That's what a lot of pilots do, go to some country like say Bolivia, get certified over there and get flight time experience. Then they build their resume up and then move on to higher paying countries. Some countries like China struggle to find able pilots than can speak proper English, so there's a lot of options if you have the discipline for it.

My buddy quit his job as a financial advisor and moved to Ireland to train as a commercial pilot. He did it in like 2 years (granted, he had been taking flying lessons prior to that, but I don't think the whole thing took more than 5 years.)

Making a living as a musician is easily an order of magnitude harder.

Where tf did that belief come from Caspy?

So I see these bar bands that are slightly above average. Drank w them after shows. They make good money. I mean not rich but they live pretty decently. I’m not saying learning an instrument or singing is easy, but I feel if you handed me an instrument and I practiced for 3 years, I could get proficient enough to play in a cover band.

I may be wrong, but that’s just my perception
