I only started disliking cops after I was handcuffed and punched in the face and stomach by a couple of Peel Regional cops years ago.

They were tough alright. Charges were reduced the day of my trial as they did not want to testify in court when my lawyer asked about my treatment while in custody.

What was I charged with? "Causing a disturbance" - a very minor charge, reduced to trespassing (non criminal) and received a $50 fine.

No animosity from me.

Although the few times I've needed them they were utterly useless and quite possibly mentally deficient, the majority of them seem to be decent people doing a job I sure as hell would never want to do.

Then again, I'm not what one would call a law breaker though.

Wal, only cowards do the things many coppers do. Hitting someone that is unable to defend them-self is whore shit.

I went to highschool with more than a few guys that went on to become pigs, the one thing they had in common was their love of fighting and picking on the weak. They were bullies. Cops are mostly bullies.

If you've never been on the other side of the police you'll probably never understand, the way they behave and appear publicly is much different than how they act when no one is around.

Watching how the pigs behaved in Toronto for the G20 summit was not a surprise to me.

They basically were enjoying a free for all of busting heads with no repercussions.
